Grades 1-3

The primary curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the individual child. Children are grouped in homerooms by age and are regrouped homogeneously (by ability level) for major subject areas.

The completion of first grade ensures that your child will know the multitude of sounds in our language and all of their varied spellings. Your child's phonics background will be so thoroughly developed that (s)he will be able to read multi-syllabic words as well as spell them.

Our goal for our young learners is to see them reading independently and enthusiastically and writing creative, coherent stories. The mathematics program focuses on critical thinking and problem solving and stresses the mastery of basic math facts and operations needed to perform increasingly difficult calculations introduced in the intermediate grades.
